To be honest you don't have to be amazing at gunplay, the communication and team work is far more important. RivalXfactor from Rival gaming says that individually their team members are nowhere near the best at gun play, yet they continually beat teams that have players who would easily outmatch them one on one, but because they work so well as a team and the other teams don't they are beating them.

uKmC Details and Rules

The uKmC (UK Marine Core Commandos) are the match play team for the uKm (UK Marine Core). We are members of uKm that have been selected because we want to play more seriously, we want to learn to work well as a team and be able to take on other clans in organised scrims and actually win!

To be able to do those things takes a lot of training and practice, which requires quite a bit of effort from the team members. In order to join the uKmC you must be a full member of the uKm and have shown a willingness to be part of the uKmC team by attending practice at least 3 times a week for 2 weeks. You must also be learning call outs and using them in practice.

All uKmC members are required to attend at least 3 practice sessions every week. A topic is created by me in this forum every Friday with the coming weeks uKmC schedule. uKmC members are required to post in that topic (by the Monday of the week coming) letting me know which of the practice sessions they will be attending. Anyone who has not signed up for practice sessions by the Monday or anyone who does not turn up for the required number of practice sessions will be removed from the uKmC team.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

General Gameplay

All uKmC members are expected to work as a team. This means that, during gameplay, you must always listen to your squad leader and follow any orders you are given. You must not ignore instructions and do something else because you think it's a better idea or it's what you want to do. If you do then you are not being a team player and you will be removed from the uKmC.

It also includes learning and using 'Call outs', names of places on the game maps which we use to identify them. Learning these is crucial to becoming a valued team member.

We use the call outs in different situations, such as when saying where we are, where we have spotted enemies, etc. But it's also important to use them when you die. You need to call out letting other team members know what the situation is. i.e. - where you died, how you died, where you were shot from, how many enemies there are, if it's safe to revive you, if an area is now open to breach, if the enemies are making a rush, etc. There is just so much that you can pass on to your team with good communication that this is an overwhelming factor in deciding the outcome of a match, This is why my primary objective is to produce a team that communicates extremely well.

Other things that we practice as part of our team work are:

Situation Awareness - (i.e. - Mini map use, Audible cues, reviving, etc.)
Overall Tactics(i.e. - Best positioning, kit usage, flanking, using cover, peeking, prefiring, etc.)
Team Tactics (i.e. - Baiting, corner popping, Engi tag, etc.)

So if you are interested in becoming a part of the uKmC team and are willing to put in the effort required to become a good team player then catch me on our TS server and join in with our practice sessions.

After two weeks, if all is well, then you will be made an official uKmC member and asked to wear the uKmC tag with pride!

Here's the current list of uKmC Members.

uKmC Schedule - week commencing 14/05

I'll create this topic on the forum every Friday ready for the coming week to start on the Monday. I'll keep a list in this first post of who has said they are coming to which practice/match. If members can post in this topic saying which practice sessions they will be attending and if they can attend the match and which match time they prefer, then I will keep the first post up to date.

This way we have a flexible schedule that people can fit around their work week ,etc.

Note: for now there is not going to be a weekly interteam scrim. Once we have a regular active membership I will start them once a week on a Sunday. Until then Sunday is just another practice.
